The Veteran of the Month Flag Raising Ceremony program honors a deceased veteran the first Sunday of the month at American Legion Post 12, 60 County St. Norwalk at 11:00 a.m. Free parking and free admission. The Veteran need not be a member of the Legion or any veteran organization.

To honor a veteran, download the form, fill it out, and e-mail it to ctlegionpost12@gmail.com.

The family of the honoree attends the ceremony on the first Sunday of the month and then returns the following month on the first Sunday to be presented the flag that flew for that month.

We look forward to honoring deceased veterans. This is one of our cornerstone events each year and directly relates to the four pillars of the American Legion: Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, and Children & Youth.
